Photo Spam!

Finally, here are all the snapshot photos I've been promising all my friends left and right that I'd post. Mmm, PhotoBucket is so handy!

Inside the cut: Stephen Colbert hosts the Intercollegiate Comedy Festival, the Philadelphia John Kerry Rally, Ko's Birthday Bash, the last day of Film Noir Class, Trojan Women, and the March For Women's Lives!

Part 1: Stephen Colbert hosts the Intercollegiate Comedy Festival

The Entrance!
Interview with Mel Gibson -- the loose theme of the show was "Is Mel Gibson Anti-Semitic?" The first "interviewed" was Mel.
"Does my eating Matzoh offend you?"
Interview with Jesus -- unfortunately, not that Jesus, Stephen learns.
Another shot
The Pope attends a day of the filming of "The Passion of the Christ"
Stephen as a Quack Doctor
Mask and Wig finds out what happens when Wile E. Coyote succeeds in killing Road Runner.
Stephen is George W. Bush's secretary
Me + Stephen Colbert = OTP!

Part 2: John Kerry rally with the UPenn Democrats (we were the cheering section on the stage behind the platform with Kerry and the Local Elected Officials! We were on Tee-Vee!)

Kerry's stepson and the lead singer of Blink 182, I'm told
Kerry's stepson again
The lead singer again
Dorky photo taken for the kid standing in front of me, entranced by my camera.
We cheer!
Madschnoogles
Crazy-go-nuts Local Elected Officials
He's lookin' at me! Danke, Senator!
More cheering!
Kerry's speech
More crazy-go-nuts Local Elected Officials!
And more!
Local Elected Officials do a little dance...
Kerry and Teresa Heinz
Kerry signs autographs (I didn't get his autograph, but I did get to shake his hand!)
...and because just because I support a certain candidate doesn't mean I won't poke fun at him.
Kerry poses with some of the Penn Democrats

Part 3: Ko's Birthday Bash! (post-Kerry Rally)

Cake!
Sing!
Deep with a noisemaker
Matt is coordinated
Ko tries to persuade Matt to do a striptease. Matt takes off his belt.
Mah future roomies!
Ko and Nikki
Freud?

Part 4: Pics from the last day of Film Noir class

What shall we watch today?
Arjun shaves in weird patterns for the Crazy Facial Hair Competition
Chris, da professah
PhotoRevenge!
*yawnflail*
Chris laughs
M, current roommate of my future roommate!
M again
Chris was entirely unaware of what was going on on the screen for at least 15 minutes
Chris finally notices
Chris explains to us the purpose of the TV
*eyeroll*
Cheeky!
M's bruise! -- she fell down the stairs, but she likes to tell people it was an abusive boyfriend
Angst!
Fear!
We all settle down to watch Transformers in the 5 minutes left of class.
We are entertained.

Part 5: The Trojan Women (pictures WAY out of chronological order)

Two soldiers and some of the chorus (taken from the 3rd floor, the only place the actors were allowed to watch the show from)
The Full Stage
Menelaeus and Helen dance
The body of Polyxena is brought in
Hecuba and the Chorus prepare Polyxena's body. Also known as the "Mr. Frodo! Don't go where I can't follow!" scene.
Another choral ode
Aneas' arrival

The following were taken during the tech run, where they were determining what lighting was needed. Taken from stage-level.
The Greek banners: Mmm, Nazi references!
The chorus
Hecuba, Polyxena, and two of the women
Polyxena and Hecuba
Hecuba and the Women
The Women
Backstage, Joey (Aneas) and Perry (Menelaus) try to out-gay each other.

Taken by my daddy during the show! Sunday night, I believe?
Andromache's Entrance
Andromache and Astynax
With Hecuba
Another
and Another

Part 6: Ko's pics from The March For Women's Lives (she would have taken more, but I forgot to give her my spare memory card, and the one in the camera was nearly full already. I am a dolt.)

Signs
Milling about before the rally
A million women march on the Great Phallic Symbol
More Signs!
More phallic symbol!
Humorous Signs!
More Humorous Signs!

Current Music: "Zim Theme Remix 2," Rebecca's awesome mix CD

I think the Steller staff lounge has stolen the Penn Film Noir Class's chairs.

The staging area for Trojan Women looks so cool. Outdoor plays are the best. Also: makeup, costumes, facial expressions? Awesome.

I knew that! Urgh! I was waffling for at least 15 minutes over that name. No clue why I didn't contact you and just ask. *goes off to fix it*

Hi Priscilla! My name is Nikki, not Nicole or Nicky. Well, technically it is Nicole, but I'm only called that when I'm in trouble with my parents. Now that we've got that cleared up.... Have a fantabulous week and good luck with finals!!
