Hello, my name is Edward Juan.

Can I say just how cool watercolor style is? Provoked by Kell's post looking for Eowyn pictures, I started looking through a page of LotR art. One of the most prominent artists had a series of awesome watercolor paintings, and I started thinking about CG equivalents. I looked through my "CG Inspiration" folder and found some watercolor HP art by a Japanese fan and decided to try my own. Line art by the fabulous Agata Matteucci.

Try it! It's fun! Grab the line art of your choice and set it to "multiply" and about 30% opacity. Then create a layer underneath (try limiting yourself to just one layer--it makes the process more interesting) and paint with the Airbrush set to "multiply" at about 20% opacity and 100% hardness. I found that really light colors seem to work well. Just keep going over everything a couple million times.

Well, I certainly enjoyed myself. Now it's your turn. (And for the love of Percy, COMMENT!)

Like the title kind of suggests, it reminds me greatly of the style by Edward Juan.

That looks lovely. So simple yet so nice. I must try that.

*applauds*

It's nice but since it's so light it is fading into the white background. Maybe you could stick in a blue sky and some green grass? White is never a good background option.
I do like the way the colors blend though. Really does look like watercolor.

Very cool! I should try watercolour-style sometime. Hm. I like the effect it gives.

Edward Juan rocks. Especially because he uses brighter colours.

That's lovely-- very soft and dreamlike. It's an awesome style. The detail you got in their clothes is very impressive, especially with such light colors.

In fact, all your work is lovely, but I thought it'd be incredibly redundant to go back and comment on them all. The character design of Cheery (and might I add you have great taste in books?) are amazing-- you got all that detail with a pen? I'm always impressed with people who can draw in pen, because you can't erase if you need to. Your photographs are awesome too-- and I'll agree, NYC is *the* place to people-watch. So many interesting people, and so many of them with dogs (no, I don't know what that has to do with anything, either). And the CG of Alicey's dragon... I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. Awesome, in the true meaning of the word-- it inspires awe.

Anyway. I've gone on enough. You have a great and original style, one that I hope to see more of, and soon.

Wow! It's lovely, Priscellie. Really puts my own feeble attempts at Cging watercolour style to shame.

Yes.. Edward's style really rocks. Maybe you should try using painter. the watercolour brushes there enable you to have the texture of the strokes like in his pictures.

I would love to see more

I like it a lot, but honestly, I like your normal style better. Maybe it's just me and my strange tastes though. :)

Ooh!

So lovely and dream like - I disagree with the person who said a darker background would be better, it is absolutely perfect with the white background. The picture itself gorgeous, but the colouring and style in which you did it in is simply amazing. I bow as always to your amazing talent ;)

That said, if insist on taking Percy's name in vain, you will have to produce amazing pictures of him as well.

[Oh, subtle. I'm so clever *preens*]
